The audience I have chosen is the young urban professional who is proactive in their neighborhood, volunteering part time in community centers and taking part in urban revitalization projects. The person is conscious of environmental issues, holds non-materialistic values, and chooses to be reliant on public transit and bicycle commuting.
The term yuppie is short for "young urban professional" or "young upwardly-mobile professional". It refers to a market segment whose consumers are characterized as self-sufficient, financially secure individualists. (wiki)
Typically "yuppies" have been portrayed with a derogatory connotation by society. My audience falls into this broad category; however, they simply lives as professionals. They are fully aware of the important issues surrounding them and they choose not to respond to the trappings of a lucrative lifestyle.

I think this is a great start in a whole line of thinking! Accommodating to the whole on-the-go mentality is going to be very beneficial here!
